Canadian Tour

In celebration of 150 years of Canadian innovation and artistic creation, RideauStone Arts Centre is proud to present the Beijing Symphony Orchestra’s Canadian Tour performances.  Over the course of its history, Canada has always built strong relationships with its partners. We continue this tradition in forging a strong relationship with China, and with Beijing in particular.

In February of 2017, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra will perform concerts in Canada for the first time in its history. Under the baton of internationally renowned conductor Muhai Tang, the Orchestra will perform at the Sony Music Centre on February 9 in Toronto, and at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa on February 12. The concerts will feature a new work celebrating ties between Canada and Beijing by Chinese composer Lu Zheng, as well as acclaimed violinist Ning Feng performing Brahms’ Violin Concerto.
